Omega Zeta Zeta aims to actively and continuously engage in service, charity, scholarship, and economic/community development initiatives to fully epitomize our founding principles of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood in word and deed. Through our civic and cultural endeavors, we continue to amass excitement as we reclaim inactive members, initiate new members, and fully nurture our undergraduate members.
Triumphant Florida Zeta Marian Harris Shannon once wrote, "Whenever there was an opportunity to serve, expand, and activate our sorority, she accepted the challenge." Our chapter continues to be inspired by the words of Soror Shannon and strives to further the work at hand. Our chapter members represent the true diversity of Zeta, spanning from age, culture, experience, backgrounds, leadership experience, careers, and number of years in the sorority.
Our chapter's commitment continues to inspire and motivate one another and, in the process, inspire and motivate others. In short, we accepted the challenge of growing and energetically sustaining our beloved sorority.
The chartering of the Omega Zeta Zeta Chapter of Jacksonville Southside/Beaches is for all the reasons above, with the ongoing motivation of enhancing and building upon the legacy of our five Founders.
